  i went to michelles cakes for my wedding cake. Before my consultation, i was able to sample a piece of the cake. i personally thought that the cake was too dry and rich for my taste.
  
  when i went to the small location for my meeting, i asked michelle about maybe changing the 'cake' part of the cake to angels food cake, or devils food cake. She immediately got very defensive and proclaimed that she makes all of her cakes from scratch herself. She also said that she had never heard of angels food or devils food cake. I ended up aplologizing for my suggestion just to calm her down.
  
  When the cake arrived that the wedding, the detail work on the cake, including the piping and a custom letter "f", and the orchid flowers all looked sloppy and childish. Espically the piping. Another issue that i noticed was that all three teirs were almost the same diameter, so basically the cake looked like a large cylinder. I had to cut the top teir because the bottem was nearly impossible to cut into.
  
  Several guests at my wedding commented that the cake was very dry and the fondant was flavorless, and that the detailing could have been done by a child.
  
  Overall i was disappointed with my consulataion because michelle though my suggestion of changing the cake was offensive. Futhermore the cake itself was not as good as publix would have been in flavor and craftmanship.

  This place was amazing! I asked for a custom cake that no one else would do. The cake was stunning! The price was even better! Michelle dealt with me herself and called me to make sure she had everything i wanted to be done. It was even done on short notice. Thanks to Michelle, my party was a hit!

  After eating Michelle's delicious cakes and pie's, I highly recommend Michelle's Cakes to everyone. The service was first class, and the atmosphere was inviting. Everytime I'm in town from Virginia I will certainly be going there.
